Laura and Sean’s Whidbey Island wedding could not have been in a more beautiful location. Fort Ebey State Park, with its incredible bluff and view of the Strait of Juan de Fuca, was the setting for their laid back, fun celebration. Check out this stunning view:
It was a great day for enjoying a beer in the sunshine, hanging out with friends and family, and soaking up the scenery.
A few of the younger attendants waited in the wings before the ceremony:
The ceremony was beautiful, with readings from The Call of the Wild and The Velveteen Rabbit, and a song performed by a friend:
Dinner was delicious, and the chicken and salmon were grilled on the spot in the park:
Even though it was late in the day, a friend insisted on slathering Laura and Sean in sunscreen:
It was so nice to have the whole day to relax and enjoy the park
People took advantage of the wide open space to play Frisbee and football:
Then came cake and toasts:
Why is it that the kids at weddings always seem to snag the first slices of cake?
As the evening went on, the light just became more and more beautiful:
As the sun set we took a few last portraits, and then everyone headed in to town for the after-party.
Thanks to Laura and Sean for such a fun day–what a pleasure to be there! Thanks also to Anna Le, for being my stellar second shooter.
